    Aftercare Supervisor

    ROLE SUMMARY:

    • We are seeking a caring and dedicated Junior Prep Aftercare Supervisor to join our team from January 2026. The successful candidate will ensure a safe, supportive, and structured environment for students during aftercare hours, fostering positive behaviour, encouraging good study habits, and contributing to the overall wellbeing and happiness of our learners.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervise and monitor students during aftercare, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
    • Plan, prepare, and assist students with homework and other learning activities.
    • Create a calm, organised, and engaging environment that promotes respect and responsibility.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and colleagues, responding to queries within 24 hours.
    • Maintain high standards of conduct, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.
    • Support school events and activities at the discretion of the Head of School.
    • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of School or management team.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

    • A minimum of one year’s experience working with students in a school environment.
    • Previous experience supervising or caring for children (Aftercare or similar role).
    • Appropriate right to work in South Africa.
    • A warm, patient, and nurturing approach to children.
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
    • A positive, collaborative attitude and commitment to teamwork.
    • A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative.
    • A genuine passion for supporting students’ development and wellbeing.
    • Professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
