We are seeking a caring and dedicated Junior Prep Aftercare Supervisor to join our team from January 2026. The successful candidate will ensure a safe, supportive, and structured environment for students during aftercare hours, fostering positive behaviour, encouraging good study habits, and contributing to the overall wellbeing and happiness of our learners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and monitor students during aftercare, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Plan, prepare, and assist students with homework and other learning activities.
Create a calm, organised, and engaging environment that promotes respect and responsibility.
Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and colleagues, responding to queries within 24 hours.
Maintain high standards of conduct, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.
Support school events and activities at the discretion of the Head of School.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of School or management team.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A minimum of one year’s experience working with students in a school environment.
Previous experience supervising or caring for children (Aftercare or similar role).
Appropriate right to work in South Africa.
A warm, patient, and nurturing approach to children.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A positive, collaborative attitude and commitment to teamwork.
A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative.
A genuine passion for supporting students’ development and wellbeing.
