As a Sourcing Specialist - Buying & Procurement you are responsible for purchase order placement, purchase order management, on time delivery of products and services, and on time payment to suppliers. In addition, you will act as the key point of contact for suppliers on all purchase order related activities, reports, and business relationship.
As a Sourcing Specialist - Buying &Procurement, you will be responsible for:
- Converting Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to Purchase Orders (POs), updating PO Promise Dates from suppliers, and manage PO schedule changes plus reacting to ERP exception messages in a timely manner
- Achieving best cost for material with outstanding quality and within customer Need-By date
- Owning Fulfilment KPI; On-time PO placement, On-time Delivery (OTD), Supplier Promise Date / PO Promise Date accuracy, Deflation, Adherence to Supplier Contracts / Pricing, and invoice resolution
- Partnering with the Supplier Quality & negotiate on Vendor Recovery associated with Liquidated Damages (LDs) due to delivery & quality issues
- Holding bi-weekly / monthly rhythm with strategic suppliers for overall supplier performance & ensure best price & lead times are offered by suppliers
- Being first line of contact & establish strategic relationship with suppliers, etc.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Materials or a related field with proven experience working in Procurement, Sourcing, Project Management
- Have 4 years’ experience within Sourcing & Procurement
- Have a good working IT knowledge and be comfortable using a variety of software tools including Excel, SAP, Ariba, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Thoughtspot
- Have sound negotiating and problem solving skills
- Be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
- Have good organizational and time management skills
