Agriculture TVET Graduate/ Intern – Grain Field Chickens, Reitz at VKB Group

JOB FUNCTION

• The Agriculture TVET Graduate/ Intern position will develop core skills in the areas outlined below by undertaking the required on-the-job training, by assisting various Agri Admin Dept. Team Members with different Admin-related tasks to obtain valuable on-the-job experience. 

Requirements

• TVET College N4–N6 Occupational Certificate: Poultry Farmer (NQF5 Equivalent).
• Other: Diploma in Agriculture: Animal Production (NQF5 Equivalent).
• Must be unemployed and require practical experience (Work Integrated Learning/ WIL) or in-service training internship, to complete qualification (NQF6 Diploma).
• Must NOT have benefitted from an internship or Learnership program before.
• Must be joining an Internship/ Graduate Program for the first time.
• Computer Literate in MS office package is essential.
• Ability to communicate in Afrikaans will be beneficial (contract growers speak predominantly Afrikaans).
• A willingness to work overtime including weekends, when required.

• Feed Forecast & Outstanding Invoices.
• DOC Orders.
• Shaving Order.
• Feed Orders.
• Veterinary Orders (Envirocare; SMT; Cal etc).
• Veterinary Store Orders (medication).
• Veterinary Submissions (Couriers).
• Hygiene swap Register.
• General Orders.
• GFC Workers Trust Orders.
• Logistics Invoices (GOB).
• Lab Test Register.
• FSSC System.
• FSSC Meeting Minutes.
• Meeting Presentations (FSSC).
• Health Declarations.
• Boot Swab Results.
• Water Results.
• Hygiene Swabs.
• AI Results.
• Serology & PCR.
• ISO Pro & Avihance Systems.
• Document control.
• CID Reporting.
• Any other duties as may be required by management.

• High level of computer literacy and the ability to learn how to use the Avihance System and other relevant Company Systems.
