AI Automation Builder at Salt South Africa

• Our client is looking for an experienced AI Automation & Knowledge Systems Engineer to design, build, and maintain the internal AI infrastructure that powers how we work.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain AI agents that solve real operational and business challenges.
• Design, structure, and optimise company knowledge bases for both human and AI consumption.
• Create automated workflows connecting internal systems, databases, and external applications.
• Develop and maintain integrations using APIs, authentication frameworks, data pipelines, and modern automation platforms.

Essential Experience

• Experience building and maintaining business knowledge bases.
• Strong understanding of keyword, semantic, and hybrid search approaches.
• Experience building multiple AI agents and automation workflows that have run successfully in production environments.
• Ability to build and maintain integrations using APIs, databases, authentication methods, and data pipelines.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with tools such as n8n, OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude Code
• Experience working directly with LLM APIs
