Job Specific Experience
• 5 years’ experience in an Analytical Laboratory, preferably in Pulp & Paper industry
• Working knowledge of LIMS would be an advantage
• Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry will be beneficial 
• Recognition for prior learning will be considered/given

Qualifications & Expertise
• Matric  with Maths and Science or relevant N3 subjects
• ABZ Training / National Certificate in Pulp and Paper Making will be advantageous
• National Diploma in Pulp and Paper / Analytical Chemistry will be an added advantage

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and without supervision, with particular focus on punctuality and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment

Functional Outputs
• Obtain samples of product and performs the relevant tests required in accordance with the prescribed standard methods
• Record all results via hardcopy and electronically
• Forward test results to relevant operational staff
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety requirements in accordance with the prescribed standards
• Promote safety, health and environmental issues
• Accurate reporting
• Control of contracts

General
• Computer literacy including SAP is essential
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and LIMS
• Drivers licence: Code EB
