Analyst Programmer/Designer II at Nedbank

To conduct Postilion system Support and Development that meets both business and technology requirements. Carryout the route cause analysis and resolve incidents. Translate requirements into High-level and Detailed designs which will realise the technology solution for business, develop and code in Java using ACI Postilion SDK.

Job Responsibilities

• Determine system/component logical relationship and interdependencies when developing or resolving incidents
• Understand the impact of the propose solution and recommend remedial action
• Solution Design
• System Support and Maintain on the Realtime system (Postilion Realtime)
  • Carryout problem/incident and requirements analysis
  • Production Support & Standby
• Develop Realtime Solutions
  • Ensure technological integration across applications.
  • Documentation and Specification Review
  • Software Development and Unit Testing
  • Code Implementation and Configuration
  • Analyse level of impact and risk on project
• Post Implementation Quality Assurance
• Establish and maintain relationships with peers and other stakeholders.
• Liaise and or follow up incidents with the vendor and other stakeholders
• See to successful signoff of the test pack on the applicable platforms.
• Implement learning's from post-mortem meetings.
• Deliver work products according to the agreed time lines and within agreed budget.
• Escalate non-compliance to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide consulting on specific technologies.
• Recommend and publish technical solutions.
• Interpret the business requirements in order to create technical specifications with an in-depth understanding of impacts across other Product areas, Recommend and publish technical solutions (high level and or detailed)
• Delivered systems, products and/or projects which contributed to improved client service.
• Review required document(s).
• Deliver impact analysis (IA) artefact including effort estimation and time lines.
• Assign level of impact and risk.
• Consider industry trends in technical design areas.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

• Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Essential Certifications

• Advanced Certification in relevant technologies where available

Minimum Experience Level

• 5 -10 years’ experience in programming
• Minimum 3 years design exposure
• Minimum 1 year Postilion SDK experience
• Minimum 3 years JAVA Development experience
• Minimum 3 years MS SQL
• Minimum 3 years Postilion Realtime support and maintenance
