The Role

The Woodbridge International Closing team is responsible for driving all relevant parties toward a drop-dead closing date. Ideal candidates for this group possess a fanatical sense of urgency, have a natural sales based can-do mentality, understand how business and finances work, have the ability to quickly build trust, confidence with the client and experience in timeline driven transactions.

The ideal candidate located in South Africa has a positive attitude and willingness to be flexible and assist wherever necessary. The candidate will identify opportunities to seamlessly absorb workload from the US, and perform it in Cape Town (including client relationships and buyer interfacing). 

Core job responsibilities are as follows:

Delivery of M&A activities

• Understanding of M&A activities including due diligence, financial analysis and financial modeling
• Ability to run a deal from beginning to end
• Manage many deals, including the preparation of management presentations, updating financial models, staying abreast of client performance, and guiding the transaction forward.
• Recognize and expose risks associated with each project activity, manage projects for profit
• Ensure projects are managed appropriately, internal processes adhered to
• Strong financial background, understanding EBITDA and balance sheet modelling
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and third-parties including lawyers and accountants
• Working proficiency with CRM systems

Organizational development

• Help to advance Woodbridge International South Africa presence
• Continuously evaluate and recommend process improvements
• Manage change through thoughtful planning and sensitive implementation
• Strong people management skills
