Analytics Engineer at Tsebo Solution

• We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer who is passionate about turning complex data into trusted, business-ready insights. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, playing a key part in enabling accurate reporting, dashboards, and decision-making across the business.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Design and build clean, reusable data models (facts and dimensions)
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from multiple systems
• Deliver curated, high-quality datasets for Power BI and analytics tools
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reporting layers
• Work closely with analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
• Optimise data models and queries for performance and reliability

Skills and Competencies    

• Strong data modelling and SQL skills, with the ability to build analytics-ready datasets
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines in an Azure environment
• Hands-on experience with Azure data platforms (Synapse, Fabric, SQL Server)
• Python skills for data transformation and problem-solving
• Experience delivering and optimising Power BI datasets and models
• Strong analytical thinking with a focus on data quality, accuracy, and consistency
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
• Good communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams

Qualifications    

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 2–4 years’ experience in a data, analytics, or business intelligence role
• Exposure to Azure Databricks is advantageous
