Applications Engineer - Instrumentation - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) at Unique Personnel

Duties:

• Handling of incoming telephonic enquiries from branches or customers. 
• Structuring of Engineered Quotations to meet customer specifications.
• Calling on EPC’s to promote Instrumentation and ensure our products are specified.
• Calling on Branches to support Instrumentation sales and ensure our staff are sufficiently informed and prepared to promote our products.
• Assist with the preparation / updating of marketing material as and when required. 
• Compiling and submitting of quotes resulting from telephonic or branch enquiries, following up of same. 
• Provide Instrumentation technical / sales training of sales staff when required. 
• Ensure processing of invoices, inter-branch transfers, jobs, etc take place. 
• Assisting External Sales with quotations where necessary. 
• Apply technical coordination during supply / installation / commissioning. 
• Assisting with stock management. 
• Carry out minor repairs / preparation of instruments in workshop as and when required.
• Workshop repairs admin.

Inherent Requirements

• Qualified Instrument Engineer / Technician
• Good sales background with track record a big advantage. 
• Must have knowledge and understanding of process control / control loops and primary instrumentation principles. 
• Must have had experience with control protocols such as Profibus / HART / MODBUS. 
• Computer skills and numerical skills a pre-requisite. 
• Must be a self-starter (go getter). 
• Be a good-natured presentable person that communicates easily. 
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must have valid drivers licence.
• Must have own reliable vehicle.
• Will be required to support branches and their clients nationwide.
