About the Role

• We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Level 1 Apprentice to join our team at Kia Germiston. This entry-level position focuses on providing hands-on training and exposure to various aspects of automotive service and repair within a professional environment. You will learn to assist skilled technicians while developing your technical and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles
• Learn to diagnose vehicle issues and assist with repairs under supervision
• Gain hands-on experience with automotive tools and equipment
• Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills
• Support the team with administrative tasks, including keeping service records and inventory management
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment in the workshop
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers
• Contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere by sharing knowledge and best practices

Requirements

• A matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrable passion for the automotive industry and eagerness to learn
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance is a plus
• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience or exposure in an automotive workshop setting
• Relevant vocational training or coursework in automotive technology
• Valid driver’s license
