Job Description

• We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Level Year 1 at various dealership. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians and gain valuable hands-on experience in the automotive industry.
• Apprenticeship programme; assisting with the repair of vehicles while working under the supervision of a qualified Technician; fulfilling the MerSETA requirements of the trade, mastering level tests and qualifying. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior technicians with various tasks such as diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Learn to use diagnostic equipment and tools
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Attend scheduled technical/ level training courses.
• To assist with the repair of vehicles in order to obtain practical experience under the supervision/instruction of a Technician.
• Prepare thoroughly for level tests in order to qualify within the record time
• Perform any other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.

Requirements:

• Matric certificate with mathematics and Physical science
• Accredited college N3 certificate 
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s license
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Interest in the automotive industry
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills
• Physically fit for heavy work; able to physically complete the duties associated with the role.
• Enjoy working with your hands.
• Able to work in noisy environments.
• Have good eyesight and hand-eye coordination.
• Possess very strong problem solving/ trouble shooting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
