    Area Sales & Contracts Manager

    Role Purpose:

    Provide service excellence to all customers and internal colleagues. Ensure that the branch/region achieves company budgets, targets & objectives of growth, sustainability, and profitability. Ensure that all contract equipment is maintained to the highest standard at targeted cost levels and develop in all necessary skills both technical and business.

    Experience and Minimum Requirements:

    • 5 – 7 years’ Branch/Regional Sales and Service experience within the same or similar industry.
    • BCom or similar degree preferable.
    • Operational experience within Materials Handling Industry or similar preferable.
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation regarding health and safety, environmental and labour.
    • Relevant computer skills MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting.
    • Excellent Communication (verbal and written).

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that the branch/region achieves monthly budgeted KPIs and where possible exceed them.
    • Develop, implement, and champion a first-class service operation that ensures response, scheduled services and all breakdowns are handled within company KPIs with total professionalism and that customers are called back regarding response and completion of work to their satisfaction.
    • Ensure that New/Used Plant Sales, Service and Parts departments achieve agreed customer coverage and conversion levels and that monthly budget and target sales, and gross profit levels are achieved.
    • Maintain the short-term hire fleet at the required standard so that availability targets are maintained and that maintenance costs do not exceed the allowance granted from short term hire.
    • Manage the relationships with suppliers and any relevant dealers to ensure that all KPI’s and standards are met.
    • Work closely with other key Masslift personnel internally to develop and achieve company budget, performance and strategic objectives.
    • Implement and manage good people management ensuring that all staff reporting to you have formal balance scorecards (KPI’s), and that the required performance reviews are conducted timeously twice a year.
    • Follow the company code of conduct, culture, and policies and to ensure all members of staff in the branch are aware of and follow them at all times.
