Area Sales Manager at Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd

Purpose of the job: 

  Responsible for the profitable availability of the Premier range and management of a team of staff to ensure achievement of sales targets in the JHB region and oversseeing the Free state and the Northen Cape Region.

• To sell at the correct R per ton and grow volumes
• Grow relationships
• Increase profitable availability
• Trade intelligence without collusion
• Identify any sales opportunities
• Increase customer base
• To have blue ribbon bread in every available outlet in focus regions
• Shelf health
• Point of purchase excellence
• Correct order at the correct time (stock management)
• Manage expenses
• Management of returns and RSPs
• Drive and manage volumes for designated areas
• Ensure channel cycle activity is implemented and targets achieved
• Provide original market information
• Implement company’s URO
• To be the preferred supplier
• Effective administration
• Effective calling cycles

Qualification Requirements

• Relevant qualification relating to Sales and Marketing Management. 
• Experience Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a FMCG Managerial position
• Experience in terms of HR and IR management – first formal discipline
• Key accounting experience
• Key Outputs

• Need to balance office and trade
• Relationship building is imperative
• Flexibility in terms of relevant client universe/ location
