Artisan Aid at Distell

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Assist Artisans in the execution of their tasks including breakdowns, installations, problem solving and maintenance.

• Cleaning, painting, general housekeeping and handyman activities when required.

• Engineering workshop upkeep.

• Removal and stripping of machines components and assemblies

• Use of Forklift for Maintenance tasks

• Taking of samples in utilities areas

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skillsets and work ethic:

• Grade 12

• N2 would be advantageous as this is a pipeline position

• Forklift Driver license 

• Punctual and able to work after hours when required

• Resilience and ability to work well under pressure

• Able to work unsupervised for menial tasks

• Experience with workshop equipment (Drills, grinders, lathes, etc)

• Competently use hand tools (Proof of basic hand tools training will be advantageous)

• Knowledge of safety requirements in a workshop and manufacturing site

• Must be able to complete inspection sheets and job cards
