Artisan Boilermaker - JHB East Rand at Rand Refinery

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO

• Execute Boiler Maker planned maintenance including fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining metal structures, piping, and equipment within the gold refinery plant and give feedback to Refinery Mechanical Foreman.
• Manage all maintenance work orders issued to you on time to ensure that weekly and monthly KPIs are met.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Identify, repair and perform effective maintenance on steelwork, pipes, chutes, cages etc. timeously and accurately (cutting and welding).
• Regularly perform proactive maintenance to deter any failures in adherence with scheduling.
• Regularly perform planned maintenance on steelwork to deter any failures in adherence with scheduling.
• Comply with and ensure that all health and safety rules are met and act pro-actively by addressing any safety concerns which may be harmful to self or other employees.
• Maintain a high level of workmanship.
• Assists in cost reduction initiatives by reducing waste and improving efficiencies.
• Execute all work within expected acceptable levels of quality.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A completed Matric qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience. 
• Minimum qualification of N2 is required or equivalent in Mechanical engineering.
• Recognized Trade Test certificate as a Boilermaker.
