Artisan Civil - Kimberley at Vaal Central Water

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for maintenance on the plant, pumpstations and pipelines.
• Supervise, control, and allocate specific duties to subordinates and to maintain
• Plan and prioritize civil works/pipeline maintenance, inspection’s fault finding and repairs in pump stations, water treatment plant, dam walls, dam, distribution systems, boreholes.
• Assist other departments and regions when
• Performs plumbing, carpentry, painting, unblocking water and sewer pipelines.
• Do monthly, quarterly and annual inspections.
• Clean dams/settling tanks and reservoirs and any other structures.
• Assist with the implementation of projects within the Vaal Central Water.
• Manage work orders allocation to teams, controlling the daily shifts and ability to work

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum qualification of Grade 12/NQF Level 4 Technical Certificate in Building and Civil
• Trade Test Certificate (Bricklaying/Painting/Carpentry).
• Communication
• Computer proficiency in MS systems.
• 3 years’ relevant experience with strong technical knowledge of building structures and civil infrastructure.
• Experience in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (an added advantage).
