Artisan: Diesel Mechanic at Madibeng Local Municipality

• Salary: R391 895.04 (Post level 8)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• Trade certificate Special Workman, preferably a Proficiency certificate,
• Grade 11 or equivalent N2 level certificate
• 1 – 2 years’ experience required

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Perform activities within a trade Monitor and control activities by maintaining a log of work, production, or maintenance Identify more critical and less critical activities and tasks, and adjust priorities when appropriate
• Communicate with the immediate supervisor and establish material and resources necessary against specific work orders Interact with mechanical stores and check allocated components and materials against job cards prior to commencing with loading
• Provide guidelines and specific instructions to subordinates with respect to the preparation of work site for major / minor works and / or setting up of traffic signs during mechanical maintenance along roads
• Supply direction and advice to personnel and give mechanical support and training where necessary Ensure that the mechanical section functions effectively
