Artisan Electrician - Richards Bay at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As an Artisan Electrician, you will be responsible for the execution of Maintenance activities during plant shut or special interventions. The main task is to carry out maintenance of equipment activities safely as well as testing and commissioning of work carried prior to handover to operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Ensure compliance to the SAP process for work execution and capture related transactional data into the SAP system;
• Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions associated with the work orders;
• Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process;
• Ensure returns of unused or repairable materials are processed accurately.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance as a qualified Electrician is essential;
• 2 years and more experience in heavy industrial or plant environment is essential
• ABB Robotic experience will be advantageous
• Maintenance and Fault finding on PLC, Alan Bradley variable speed drives, direct online starters, forward reverse starters, and Siemens switch gear is essential;
• Experience in Water cooling plants is essential;
• Experience in Ladle and tube cleaning machines is essential.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Valid Code B (08) Driver’s license is essential;
• N3 Technical Certificate and a recognized Electrical trade test.
