Artisan Fitter UG (REF: IVP-ENG-2409) at Ivanhoe Mines

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12/NQF 4
• Relevant Trade Certificate
• First Aid Certificate is advantageous
• Valid Code EB (08) Driver’s license
• Fault finding skills

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a mining environment.
• Solid welding and mechanical experience.

The Role requirements include, but not be limited to:

• Undertake cleaning, lubrication and preservation of machinery, vehicles, equipment, tools, workshop, tool room and yard area.
• Maintenance of mechanical or equipment on stage.
• Maintenance of de-watering system.
• Maintaining of winder and the headgear.
• General cleaning and removal of rust on parts and equipment.
• Ensures the proper use and care of equipment.
• Assist artisan when undertaking inspection, testing and repairs of lifting equipment and plant.
• Deliver and collect materials, spares, tools and machinery used in the fabrication and maintenance of equipment and plant.
