  • Assistant Accountant

    In this role you will…

    •  Performing financial control activities to ensure data integrity

    • Assist to manage the controls of Fixed assets, stock, debtors, creditors, inter-company and bank accounting entries.

    • Assist to submit monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports and analysis

    • Monthly and annual corporate and statutory reporting.

    • Assist in the Monthly reconciliation and reporting of the fixed assets for financial and tax purposes

    • Assist the Senior Accountant to Implement improvements of tax management and implement tax controls and overall compliance controls.

    • Assist the senior accountant to manage the month end process to ensure reporting deadlines are met.

    Why you?  

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • CA(SA)/ CIMA – newly qualified

    • Business Degree (equivalent)

    • At least 3 years relevant experience in the same capacity

    Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

    • Process Flow: Financial Processes

    • Trouble shoot understanding of controls

    • Implementation of controls and processes

    • Understanding of SARS / South African Tax Laws

    • Demonstrated ability to display key attributes of successful finance shared service team member including:

    • Business knowledge &Technical finance knowledge

    • Ability to provide effective financial management for a complex organization using technical expertise and analytical skills

    • Understanding of financial systems and processes

    • Able to perform under pressure

    • Deadline driven
