Assistant Accountant (Western Cape) at Western Cape Blood Service

• The Finance Department at Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers to support financial operations and contribute to business success.
• WCBS is a non-profit organization whose mission is to collect, process, and distribute blood and blood products of the highest standards throughout the Western Cape.

Purpose of the Job

• Responsible for reconciliation of COD Creditors Accounts, cashbook and journal entries to General Ledger.

  A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:

• Experience in processing cashbook and reconciliations
• Exposure in payment and maintenance of COD Accounts
• Have a friendly disposition and show keen interest in the work.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Bookkeeping/Accounting Certificate
• Computer literate, advanced excel skills
• A minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting environment.
