    Assistant Brand Manager: Baking & Ambient

    Job Description
    Main Purpose

    • Assisting the brand manager on the Ambient & Baking portfolio across 5 brands – priority brands are Moir’s, Maizena and Smash.
    • Assist with managing brand digital & social media platforms.
    • Assist with annual brand plan development
    • Assist with innovation projects including ideation, sizing, approval gates and project management
    • Assist with Brand activity execution and tracking
    • Brand A&M: invoice management (create PO’s, GRV etc.), spend monitoring and reporting
    • Continuous engagement with Regional Sales and National Trade Marketing stakeholders.
    • Continuous engagement with creative agency stakeholders
    • Assist with inputs into monthly meetings as required (e.g. PMR, Activation Board)

    Accountabilities

    • Managing Overall brand budgets & reporting with inputs from Brand manager – full accountability for budget
    • Preparing information for factory meeting & Running factory meeting in absence of manager with prior feedback – executing actions
    • Digital Content plans – accountable for execution with brand manager providing consultation
    • Brand planning & AOP – support brand manager to deliver annual plans
    • Presentations preparations – execution of actions
    • Execution of Brand campaigns – responsible for execution of approved campaigns
    • Assisting with Innovation ideation, sizing, approval process and project management

    Qualifications/Requirements

    Key skills / Requirements

    • Minimum Qualification: Matric
    • Tertiary Qualification: BCom Marketing or qualification in Commercial stream
    • Knowledge of managing a budget (for an entire brand as well as individual project budgets)
    • Project Management – running a project from start to finish
    • Digital knowledge of social media
    • Proven and appropriate brand knowledge and/or experience
    • Digital marketing knowledge and/or experience
    • Strong administrative ability with high attention to detail
    • Proven numerical aptitude and above-average analytical abilities
    • Knowledge of packaging process
    • Able to work independently and under pressure
    • Be able to work within a Team for collaborations
    • SAP & Nielsen proficiency/knowledge
