Assistant Business Unit Controller - Nutrition at Nestle

Position Summary

We’re now looking for an  Assistant Business Unit Controller for the Infant Nutrition Business.
• As assistant to the Business Unit Controller / Co-pilot you will be responsible for providing assistance on all financial matters (vision, organization, practices, initiatives/projects…) and provide fact-based decision making on both short-term objectives and on long term strategic initiatives. Provide visibility and forecasts around costs related to the Business Unit through the driving of relevant analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling the variances), ensures Compliance to financial legal requirements, NAS and compliance to WHO code.
   

A day in the life of...
 

An Assistant BU Controller 

• Assist BU Controller in all aspects of the strategy development process and provide associated scenario planning to optimize shareholder value
• Assist BU Controller by providing up to date data to analyze and challenge product portfolio to identify cost optimization opportunities, eliminate Value Destroyers and maximize the return on investment from TTS/PFME (including revised pricing structure/prices)
• Ensure quality financial information is provided to the BU Controller for decision making and that potential risks and opportunities are highlighted and understood. 
• With the BU Controller, review monthly performance and identify areas of risk to achievement of targets and forecasts and develop/follow up action plans
• Together with the BU Controller play a reading role in the Monthly Business Planning Process (esp. MGR & CDP), providing transparency and direction towards target achievement at any time in the process. Assist with facilitation of the MB/DF process for the BU.

 
What will make you successful

• BCom.Accounting 
• CIMA or CA(SA) Ideal 
• 3 - 5 years experience in a Finance Specialist role. 
• Manufacturing, FMCG environment ideal
• Budgetiing & Forecasting experience 
• Developed Leadership skills
