Main Focus Areas
- The incumbent will be responsible for providing on-site and remote support during peak periods, staff shortages and operational challenges, ensuring continuity and stability of patient services. The role will provide targeted business deployment and operational support across all Lenmed hospitals in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, with a specific focus on stabilising case management operations, enhancing operational capacity and driving sustained performance improvement within high-demand or underperforming environments. The role is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of efficient and standardised case management processes, underpinned by robust quality assurance, adherence to organisational policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and sound financial governance. In addition, the role will retain a focused operational case management component to ensure continuity of service, maintain critical clinical and funding insights, and enable the proactive identification, escalation and resolution of systemic inefficiencies. Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)
- Provide on-site and remote operational support across Lenmed hospitals KwaZulu Natal during peak periods, staff shortages and operational challenges.
- Provide targeted business deployment and case management support to facilities requiring additional operational intervention.
- Rapidly assess case management operations upon deployment and identify gaps, risks and priority areas requiring immediate attention.
- Stabilise and optimise case management processes in line with organisational policies, SOPs, funder requirements and regulatory standards.
- Ensure continuity and stability of patient services during periods of increased operational demand.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care by facilitating daily ward rounds and effective collaboration between clinical, nursing and administrative teams.
- Monitor PAAS scoring and appropriate levels of care to ensure clinical appropriateness and consistency.
- Identify, prioritise and actively manage high-risk and high-cost cases.
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical updates, including required turnaround times such as 8-hour updates, to support funding approvals and clinical decision-making.
- Oversee and support authorisation processes, ensuring cases are clinically and financially justified.
- Proactively manage funder escalations in accordance with relevant escalation matrices.
- Support accurate and compliant clinical coding, ensuring alignment between clinical documentation, coding and billing requirements.
- Maintain critical clinical and funding insights to support operational and financial decision-making.
- Analyse case management trends, rejections, operational inefficiencies and systemic challenges, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Drive sustained performance improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen capacity, processes and team capability.
- Promote standardised case management practices and ensure consistent implementation across facilities.
- Facilitate effective communication with treating doctors, funders, hospital management and multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage and resolve funder queries, high-risk cases and operational challenges proactively.
- Strengthen team capability through coaching, guidance, knowledge sharing and promotion of best practices.
- Drive compliance with clinical governance, quality assurance and regulatory requirements.
- Support safe, effective and patient-centred care delivery.
- Prepare and submit deployment reports outlining key findings, identified risks, interventions implemented, outcomes and performance improvements achieved.
Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)
Minimum Required Education
- B Degree in Nursing (NQF 6) or equivalent.
- Current SANC registration, or relevant allied health registration.
- Advanced computer literacy and high accuracy in clinical and billing systems.
- 3–5+ years acute hospital experience.
- 3+ years in case management, managed care, or patient flow.
Inherent Requirements
- Proven experience in case management and clinical coding within a hospital environment
- Strong knowledge of medical aid rules and hospital billing processes
- Experience in managing financial risk and DNYB
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office); SAP/Kronos advantageous5 years case management experience in a multi-disciplinary hospital
- Strong understanding of medical aid rules and funding protocols
- Case management and revenue cycle processes
- Clinical coding (ICD-10, CPT/CCSA)
- Advanced ICD-10 Qualification

Main Focus Areas
- The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies and will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.

- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse or Equivalent NQF 7 qualification .
- Relevant qualification and experience in a specialized area.
- Post Basic Diploma is essential.
- Compulsory BLS certification, PALS will be advantageous.
- Advanced Computer Literacy.
- Flexible in working hours/Shifts .
- Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation

Main Focus Areas
- The Billings Audit Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the collation of received patient files from Billings and ensure accurate billing and patient information in capture correctly
Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)
- Check that the confirmation and the statements have the same account nr and patient details
- Check the discharge date and times are correct
- Check the surgical forms against the statement to make sure all stock used are billed and that the quantities are correct
- Send the file back to the Unit Managers if there are medicine/credit mistakes made
- Send file to pharmacy if credits are not done or any other medicine queries need to be done
- Answering telephones and dealing with telephonic queries
- Check case manager files for payments

- B Degree Nursing Qualification or equivalent NQF level 6
- 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative role or auditing.

Main Focus Areas
- The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multidisciplinary team. Main Focus Areas
- The Case Manager utilising clinical knowledge and expertise, mitigates financial risk through comprehensive and accurate coding of hospital events, communication with funders on justification for hospitalisation level of care and length of stay.

Main Focus Areas
- Effective and efficient coordination and management of the internal support services and external service providers within the hospital environment to achieve Company objectives of quality, growth and people. Services managed may include Catering, Cleaning, Security, Garden, Hygiene, Pest Control, Medical and General Waste, Laundry and Coffee Shops. Other tasks will be discussed on an Ad-hoc basis to include special Projects, etc.
Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)
- Manage all engineering and soft services across 2 hospital facilities
- Create and manage CAPEX and OPEX
- Reviewing SLA and in consultation with Group Procurement, document specific hospital requirements and ensure signature by relevant parties
- Driving and monitoring conformance to SLA, identify gaps and implement corrective actions
- Effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
- Participating actively, where necessary, on internal and external review meetings
- Ensuring external stakeholders conform to agreed quality standards and drive conformance to relevant health and safety legislation as it relates to area of responsibility
- Identifying alert and incident trends and drive corrective actions
- Ensuring compliance to Lenmed’s Quality Audit standards ISO 9001:2008 (this is work in progress)
- Submission of weekly Project planner reports to MANCO and HM
- Participating in budgeting process and monitor performance against budget
- Ensuring the hospital facility is always in a clean and in habitual state
- Complete CAPEX contract scope changes for all permanent changes in services scope
Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)
- A recognized 3 – 4-year Engineering Degree or National Diploma at NQF level 7 SAP Experience preferable Minimum 3 years experience managing large teams Knowledge and exposure in Industrial Relations. Proven track record of minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience managing outsourced/insourced Soft Services, Integrated Facilities Management and Bundled soft services Experience within the Healthcare sector advantageous. Other industries include Hospitality, Retail, FMCG or related sectors Preference will be given to EE Candidates
