The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Bachelors Degree/ NQF Level 7 qualification in Financial Management as recognised by SAQA coupled with 3 years supervisory experience in a financial management environment and a valid Drivers Licence.
Essential Knowledge, Skills And Competencies Required: The successful candidate must have: Sound knowledge of procurement and payments systems, policies and procedures; Sound knowledge of PFMA and Treasury Regulations, SCM and other prescripts; Function knowledge of BAS; Knowledge of Public Service Act and Regulations;Labour Relations Act; Good planning, decision making and problem solving skills; Ability to develop the unit into a team; Numeracy skills; Report writing; Financial Management; Good communication skills (verbal & written) with colleagues, management, Treasury and suppliers; Good computer literacy in MS Office (Ms Word and Ms Excel); must be prepared to drive official vehicles.
DUTIES :
The successful candidate will be required to manage creditor management services with the following responsibilities: Manage the receiving and recording of valid invoices; Manage the payment of suppliers within 30 days; Manage financial reconciliations and reporting; Manage resources of the unit.
