The applicant must be in possession of a three (3) year National Diploma (NQF6) / Degree in Public Administration or Public Management with a minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience in the field. Sound knowledge of administration systems e.g HIS / SAP system. Good management and problem-solving skills. Good communication (verbal and written skills).
Computer literacy and report writing skills. Ability to work independently, under pressure and coordinate with other units. Sound knowledge of Basic conditions of employment Act, Public Service Act, Public Service regulations as amended, Public Service Legislation such as Record Management and information management Policies, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Administration Procedure Manuals, Labour Relations Act etc.
Previous experience in Records Management, Patient Affairs, Mortuary Services, Auxiliary services will serve as an advantage.
Duties :
Provide leadership and Strategic Direction in the Patient Administration and Support Services. Effective implementation and utilization of Patient Administration System for the enhancement of service delivery. Monitor the Appointment Management System (Patient registration scheduled and confirmed patients' appointment. Ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded in system.
Ensure effective implementation and Management of the Electronic filing system. Maintain accurate Patient Records System including medical histories, treatments, file retrievals and archiving. Management of the Mortuary department by planning, implementing and monitoring mortuary practices and procedures in line with the health regulations.
Responsible for Supervision of Human Resources. Ensuring continuous training and development of staff and conduct daily inspections of Departments. Compilation and submission of accurate patient statistics to improve efficiency.
Attend to Auditor-General (AG) findings, Ideal Hospital, risk management, and compile action plan and reports for the unit. Provide weekly, monthly reports and perform other duties as delegated by the supervisor.
