Assistant Director: Municipal Revenue and Debt Management
- Job Type Full Time
- Qualification Bachelors , National Diploma
- Experience 3 years
- Location Free State
- Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit
Requirements:
- A relevant degree/advanced diploma (NQF level 7) in Financial Management/Financial Accounting/Management Accounting or equivalent qualification with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an accounting environment. A valid driver’s license.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Municipal Property Rates Act (MPRA), Municipal budgets and reporting regulations, Treasury Regulations and Municipal Finance Management Circulars.
- Must possess the following skills: analytical, basic numerical, negotiating, reporting, presentation, communication, and action oriented. Computer literate.
Duties:
- Support the implementation of revenue management by targeted municipalities.
- Support the implementation of debt management by municipalities.
- Provide advice and technical guidance on revenue related tariffs, policies, and tariff setting related to the revenue management cycle.
- Provide advice and technical guidance on revenue and debt management.
- Support and assist with the co-ordination of training to build capacity in municipalities.
