A degree in Physiotherapy i.e. a 4-year degree. Registered with the HPCSA as an Independent Practitioner and current proof of registration for 2025/2026.
A minimum of 3-year experience after registration with HPSCA, of which five years must be appropriate experience in management/chief Physiotherapist. Knowledge requirements: Must have knowledge of current health and public service legislation, Regulations and policies. Knowledge in the application of clinical Physiotherapy theory, practices and ethics. Computer literacy, driver’s license. Duties :
Management of the Physiotherapy Department: Formulating clinical strategies that are in line with the strategic objective of Gauteng Health/National department of health. Achieve a state of readiness for NHI. Manage and monitor quality assurance using the Ideal Hospital standards.
Provide input into the development of policies, guidelines, protocols and SOPs. Financial management of the Department within the allocated budget and resources. Human resource management to ensure a productive working environment. Ensuring adherence to the Code of Conduct and labour practices. Support staff development and performance management. Coordinate student training and promote ongoing research and capacity building.
