    Assistant Director - Physiotherapist

    Requirements :

    • A degree in Physiotherapy i.e. a 4-year degree. Registered with the HPCSA as an Independent Practitioner and current proof of registration for 2025/2026.
    • A minimum of 3-year experience after registration with HPSCA, of which five years must be appropriate experience in management/chief Physiotherapist. Knowledge requirements: Must have knowledge of current health and public service legislation, Regulations and policies. Knowledge in the application of clinical Physiotherapy theory, practices and ethics. Computer literacy, driver’s license. Competency requirements: Communication skills, report writing skills, financial management

    Duties :

    • Management of the Physiotherapy Department: Formulating clinical strategies that are in line with the strategic objective of Gauteng Health/National department of health. Achieve a state of readiness for NHI. Manage and monitor quality assurance using the Ideal Hospital standards.
    • Provide input into the development of policies, guidelines, protocols and SOPs. Financial management of the Department within the allocated budget and resources. Human resource management to ensure a productive working environment. Ensuring adherence to the Code of Conduct and labour practices. Support staff development and performance management. Coordinate student training and promote ongoing research and capacity building.
