Assistant Director: Therapeutic & Medical Support Services
A Bachelor.’ degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy or Audiology/ both dual or Social Work or Dietetics. appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South African (HPCSA)/SACSSP.
A minimum of (5) years appropriate experience after registration council of which (3) years must be appropriate experience in Management
Duties :
Provide leadership at Therapeutic and Medical support Services. Give input into formulation and the review of national and provincial legislation. Ensure that the services including risk management.
Monitor utilisation of financial resources. ensure the comprehensive HR management and effective development of staff. Coordinate and ensure the promotion & marketing of Therapeutic Services. Submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, stats and others administration duties.
Establish good relationship with stakeholders within the hospital. Ensure continuous professional development activities. Implement quality assurance policies and develop appropriate quality improvement plan for the unit.
Perform all other duties delegated by supervisor/ manager. Demonstrate the ability to use Health information for planning.
Comply with the Performance Management and Development System (contracting, mid-assessment reviews and final assessment).
