    Chief Diagnostic Radiographer Grade 1

    Requirements :

    • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus an appropriate three-year National diploma/ Degree in Diagnostic Radiography. Current Registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa as Diagnostic Radiographer (Independent Practice).
    • A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience in Diagnostic Radiography of which at least 6 months of the period mentioned above must be of the supervisory experience.
    • Working knowledge and experience in radiography principles, systems and procedures performed within the radiology department. Knowledge of X-ray digital system, RIS and PACS. Render 24-hour radiology services. Sound knowledge of radiation safety regulations and good understanding of radiography equipment and protocols. Knowledge of relevant public service policies acts and regulations such as PFMA, OHS policies, etc.
    • Knowledge of HR related policies and procedures, knowledge of Employee Performance Management and Development Systems. Computer literacy, good verbal and written communication skills, sound interpersonal skills, report writing skills, strategic planning and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure. Ability to promote and uphold patients’ rights. May be required to cover after hours.

    Duties :

    • Responsibility include but not limited to: Performance of X-ray examinations. Ensure that radiology equipment installed and used meet all applicable radiation safety standards.
    • Ensure that the equipment is well maintained and function properly. Quality improvement management. Ensure that applicable Quality assurance programme and Quality Control (QC) tests are performed at the prescribed frequencies as stipulated in the diagnostic QC policy.
    • Ensure that radiation surveys to monitor safe performance of equipment and to monitor radiation levels in work areas are undertaken. Ensure compliance with HPCSA regulations on CPD annually.
    • Ensure that radiation safety rules are communicated to and followed by all personnel. Train and supervise junior radiography staff. Oversight of administrative functions including compiling memos, stock control and other resources.
    • Perform all delegated departmental tasks with limited supervision and have the ability to deal with crisis situations independently.

    Requirements :

    • A Grade 12. Knowledge- Patient Rights and Batho Pele Principles.

    Medical Officer Grade 3

    Requirements :

    • MBCHB degree registered with HPCSA as a Medical Officer independent practitioner.
    • Active registration to with the HPCSA for the current financial year.
    • A minimum (10) years appropriate experience as a medical officer.
    • Advance Cardiac/ Trauma Life Support (ACLS/ATLS) and experience in Emergency medicine will be an added advantage.

    Duties :

    • The incumbent will be responsible for interviewing, investigating, diagnosing and overseeing the treatment of patients. Attendance of relevant administrative meeting like mortality meetings, Patient Safety Incidence meetings and completing Medico legal documents timeously (e.g. Death certificate, J88). Improving quality of care by providing appropriate clinical care.
    • Reduce medical litigation by exercising good clinical ethos. Implement and monitor adherence to National Core Standards (Norms and Standard). Participating in all activities of the discipline in relations to teaching and research.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team to the management of patients. Performance of practical procedures relevant to the patients. Supervising and training of junior staff. Ensure that administration and record keeping is done in the department.
    • Willing to do commuted overtime, rendering of after hour (night, weekend, public holidays) duties to provide continuous uninterrupted care of patients.

    Assistant Director: Therapeutic & Medical Support Services

    Requirements :

    • A Bachelor.’ degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy or Audiology/ both dual or Social Work or Dietetics. appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South African (HPCSA)/SACSSP.

    Food Technologist

    Requirements :

    • National Diploma in Food Technology or equivalent (3years). NQF level 6, B Tech Food Technology will be ab added advantage
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
    • Certificate in FSSC 22000 and / HACCP will be an added advantage.

    Skill and Competences.

Assist with continuous control and supervision on hygiene practice in the factory. Issue cleaning material according to scheduled times.
    • Always ensure compliance with laboratory and factory safety measures. Ensure good quality on all factory products. Be always safety conscious. Analyse, investigate and advise on all laboratory test results including diets Cook freeze product tests. Assist with stock taking and inventory in Cook Freeze according to the food service unit policy.
    • Conduct training on prescription orientation programme for new appointees of Cook Freeze Conduct continues hygiene and quality training to Cook Freeze aids and supervisors.
    • Accept responsibility to equip yourself for a career through persistent training and self-development. Conduct client training on equipment and regeneration of delivered products. Testing of received raw products randomly. Testing of cooked and portioned (end) products randomly. Ensure intensive cleaning of laboratory equipment.
    • Apply financial cost saving measures of cost awareness, report savings and always discourage wastage in the factory daily. Ensure receiving of good quality products from suppliers. Participate in BAC committee for appointment of contract suppliers for Cook Freeze food products. Responsible admin duties in your area.
    • Ensure auditing of client’s food service units regarding Cook Freeze products. Ensure that FIFO system is used in the factory. Conduct spot checks on all Cook Freeze products randomly
    • Monitor cold and freezer room temperatures at least twice daily. Conduct tasting sessions daily and during client meetings. Assist food Service managers when necessary. Attend all relevant meetings.

    Requirements :

    • A Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent to matric. No experience required. Experience in Human Resource will be an added advantage. A Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or related will be an added advantage, Persal Certificate will be an added advantage.

    Food Service Supervisor X 1

    Requirements :

    • Grade 11 or higher with at least 3 - 5 years’ experience in a foodservice unit. Knowledge of equipment and food preparation processes. Knowledge of hygiene and safety principles.
    • Able to work shifts and public Holidays. Be able to rotate to different areas within the food service department. Good communication in English (verbal, written and numerical skills).

    • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act. Perform duties as allocated by the next level manager.

    Food Service Aid X 10

    Requirements :

    • A minimum of Grade 10/NQF Level 2/ ABET level 4 and above. No experience is required. Food Service experience in a clinical environment will be an added advantage.

    Campus Head - Chris Hani Baragwanath Campus

    Requirements :

    • A Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent to matric, a Basic qualification in nursing registered with the SANC in terms of Government Notice R425 (i.e. Diploma/Degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
    • A post basic qualification in an R212 or R48 programs. A qualifications in Nursing Education, Nursing Management/Administration or Health Service Management, the qualifications registered with the SANC.

    • Knowledge and understanding of the legislations, related regulations and policies in the public sector in particular in the health sector and management of a Nursing Training Institution or a Higher Nursing Education Institution. Valid Driver’s licence is an inherent requirement.
    • Computer Certificate or literacy. Competencies: Strategic capability and leadership, Programme and Project Management, Financial Management, Change Management, People Management and Empowerment. Service delivery innovation, Problem solving and analysis, Communication, Client orientation and customer focus.

    Duties :

    • Develop, implement and monitor the strategic plans of the campus. Market the corporate image of the campus. Oversee the selection of students for enrolment with the campus in consultation with management and hospital Chief Executive Officers, Develop policy guidelines for nurse education and training. Provide learning and teaching resources.
    • Conduct quality assurance. Supervise setting of examination and commissioning examination results. Liase with statutory bodies and other institutions of Higher learning.
