    Assistant Manager Financial Regulation

    About Digital Frontiers 

    Digital Frontiers is an African not-for-profit capacity building specialist, focused on building capabilities amongst professionals in sectors aligned to the U.N. Sustainability Goals, particularly where digitization and the use of digital tools are fundamental to the success of their industry, organizations, and roles, in low-and-middle-income countries where capacity gaps are a significant challenge.

     

    What We're Looking For:

    We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to provide assistance in line with financial regulation, policymaking and supervision work within various sectors/course. Drawing from your extensive administrative expertise (3 years +), your approach to performing the main tasks/responsibilities of the role will seem effortless from day one! These tasks/responsibilities involve, quality control, driving high performance and internal and external stakeholder management.

    You should be good at developing trusted relationships. You should be able to juggle multiple tasks at the same time all the while maintaining a sharp attention to detail and driving continues improvement in the quality of products and services.

    We’re looking for someone who is personable, extremely passionate about delivering projects in the learning and capacity building space.

    Main Responsibilities are as follows ( but not limited to):

    • Support subject matter experts in the development of new course material on the agreed qualification road map by undertaking research, preparing PPTs and slides etc.

    • Liaise with Gateway Team to support the maintenance and/or update of existing regulatory courses.

    • Support subject matter experts in the development of new blog material and new literature for the knowledge bank.

    • Support subject matter experts with marketing of new courses and website updates and/or changes.

    • Attend class call and write class call summaries.

    • Review Certified Digital Financial Practitioner (CDFP) student blogs.

    • Support subject matter expert in updating courses.

     

    Education And Experience:

    • Degree in Economics

    • Proven experience in financial regualtion, policymaking or supervision

    • Experience within the EdTech/education space ( advantageous)

     

    Specialist Knowlegde/Skills:

    • Highly computer literate

    • Knowledge/understanding of commercial objectives

    • Confident in both corporate and non-corporate environments

    • Knowledge/skilled in effeciively managing multiple projects

    • Skilled in setting and sticking to internal deadlines

    Compentencies/Personality Requirements:

    • Highly proficient in English communication-professional verbal and written skills(crucial)

    • Comfortable working effectively both within a collaborative team environment and independently

    • Personable with a friendly approach

    • Extremely organised and solutions focused

    • Eager to consistantly learn, upskill and expand knowledge within field of expertise

    • Self motivated and managed

    • Highly detailed-focused and deadline driven

    • Ability to effectively multitask/juggle many task at once

    • Able to work well under pressure

    • Confident and career driven to achieved 

    Work hours and location:

    • This is a full time 11 month contract position ( 01 February 2022 – 31 December 2022).

    • The role reports directly to the Deputy Director Financial Regulation and Supervision

    • The office hours are standard however, we require people who from time-to-time, are happy with flexible and non-standard working hours.

    • This is a remote role; therefore, candidates must have an appropriate space to work from home and a strong and consistent internet connection as well as own equipment (laptop).

    • Working hours to coincide with South Africa and at times, UK & USA office hours

    • The remuneration package on offer is a market related based on experience
