    Logistics Coordinator

    • A well-established, leading distributor of specialty and industrial chemicals is seeking the above to be responsible for coordinating cost-effective, compliant, and timely logistics, transport, warehousing, and shipping of chemical products (hazardous and non-hazardous) from origin to final destination, thereby enabling the sales team to focus on business growth while ensuring full regulatory compliance and excellent customer service.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration or a related field
    • 1-3 years’ experience in logistics, transport coordination, warehousing or shipping
    • Experience with Dangerous Goods regulations, GMP+ or BRC will be a distinct advantage
    • Computer literacy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with any ERP system (SAP highly advantageous – full training will be provided)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with internal teams, suppliers, transporters and freight forwarders
    • Must be a quick learner, highly organised, able to work independently, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and committed to accuracy and continuous improvement

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Sourcing, negotiating, and managing rates with 3rd-party transporters and warehouses to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient collections, deliveries, and stock transfers across South Africa.
    • Arranging and coordinating all collections, deliveries, and inter-warehouse stock movements, ensuring on-time performance and accurate administrative documentation (delivery notes, warehouse instructions, PODs, filing, reporting).
    • Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on 3rd-party warehouse and transporter performance, addressing non-conformances, complaints, and invoice accuracy promptly.
    • Conducting monthly remote and quarterly physical stock counts at 3rd-party warehouses, reconciling against SAP/planning sheets, and resolving discrepancies immediately.
    • Arranging safe, compliant disposal of quarantined or damaged stock in line with company and regulatory procedures.
    • Coordinating the arrangement and dispatch of customer samples and performing annual audits of 3rd-party warehouses and transporters to ensure ongoing suitability and compliance.
    • Researching and onboarding new transporters and warehouses while continuously ensuring full compliance with South African hazardous and non-hazardous chemical transport and storage regulations.
    • Developing a strong working knowledge of Incoterms®, freight forwarding, clearing processes, and international shipping documentation; liaising daily with suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure smooth, on-time import/export shipments.
    • Tracking shipments end-to-end (sea, air, road, rail), proactively resolving delays or issues, and keeping all stakeholders updated to avoid additional costs or customer impact.
    • Providing logistics support to the sales team, maintaining accurate records in SAP, and contributing ideas for continuous improvement of logistics processes and cost savings.

    Senior Operator

    • A leading pet food manufacturing company with a keen interest in the companion animal industry is seeking the above to lead and oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of the entire Blue Zone (cooking pots, pressing, milling, and packing), consistently achieving daily production targets while maintaining full compliance with food safety (HACCP), quality, health & safety (OHSACT), and GMP standards.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have Grade 12 or higher (tertiary education will be of an advantage)
    • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on operational/technical experience in a rendering, food, or related continuous-process manufacturing environment (experience in cooking/fat-rendering processes is highly advantageous)
    • Proven leadership/supervisory experience with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team in a production setting
    • Strong working knowledge of food safety (HACCP/FSSC 22000), quality systems, GMP, and health & safety (OHSACT) in a food or feed manufacturing plant
    • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, particularly in high-pressure, variable raw-material environments, and the capability to adapt plans quickly
    • Ability to work shifts (including night shift), stand/walk for extended periods, climb stairs, work in hot, humid, and unpleasant odorous conditions, and possess good eyesight and verbal communication skills

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Leading and supervising the Blue Zone team (pot operators, press operators, and packers), allocating tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring optimum team efficiency and accountability.
    • Fully understanding and enforcing correct processing parameters, recipes, cooking methods, and cooking times in accordance with Act 36 and internal specifications to maximize pot turnaround and yield.
    • Continuously monitoring and controlling Critical Control Points (CCPs) and operational Prerequisite Programmes (oPRPs) in the cooking process.
    • Liaising closely with the Intake Senior Operator, Fat Press Operators, and Packing team to ensure seamless batch flow, prevent backlogs, and meet daily pressing and packing targets.
    • Monitoring cooks in real time, identifying abnormal situations (e.g., high moisture, long cook times, press delays), and adapting the production plan accordingly to protect throughput.
    • Ensuring finished product quality by rigorous sampling of every batch, accurate labelling, correct sample storage for QC, and ensuring all products meet specifications.
    • Driving and enforcing excellent housekeeping, GMP, food-safety (HACCP), and health & safety (OHSACT) standards throughout the Blue Zone, including safe forklift and equipment operation.
    • Ensuring correct blowdown practices are followed to prevent condenser blockages and proactively identifying equipment faults, immediately alerting maintenance to minimize downtime.
    • Recording, investigating, and closing out non-conformances in collaboration with the Production/Assistant Production Manager, and implementing corrective actions.
    • Actively communicating with the team and across shifts/departments, training operators, promoting discipline, teamwork, accountability, and a positive working environment, and performing any additional reasonable duties assigned by management.

    SHEQ Administrator

    • A leading pet food manufacturing company with a keen interest in the companion animal industry is seeking the above to provide efficient administrative and system support to the SHEQ department by managing requisitions, document control, record-keeping, and supplier liaison, while ensuring full compliance with Quality Control, HACCP, GMP, and company procedures.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a National Certificate or Diploma in Administration, Food Technology, Quality Management, or related field
    • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in administration, document control, or quality support, preferably in a manufacturing, food, or feed environment
    • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook)
    • Experience using Syspro or any similar ERP system is highly advantageous
    • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Accurately processing, tracking, and managing all SHEQ-related requisitions and purchase orders in Syspro (or equivalent ERP system).
    • Liaising with suppliers on orders, delivery schedules, pricing, and queries to ensure timely availability of materials and services.
    • Preparing, verifying, and filing Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and related documentation for all incoming goods.
    • Maintaining the master document control system, ensuring all quality, HACCP, GMP, and SHEQ records are current, correctly versioned, approved, and easily retrievable.
    • Supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality Management, HACCP, and GMP systems.
    • Conducting and documenting routine inspections, sampling, internal audits, and verification activities to confirm process and product compliance.

    Irrigation Designer

    • A well-established consulting design engineering company specialising in irrigation is seeking the above to be responsible for delivering accurate, cost-effective, and practical irrigation designs (drip, micro, pivot, pump stations, pipelines, and steel structures) that meet client requirements, agronomic needs, and statutory standards, while providing full technical support from initial site assessment through to project handover.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics; A National Diploma or B. Tech. in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Degree is highly advantageous
    • Minimum 1–3 years’ practical irrigation design experience
    • SABI irrigation design courses (Level 1–3) is advantageous
    • Proven proficiency in Civil Designer software (Survey, Terrain and Water modules) and Autodesk Civil 3D
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel for calculations, BOQs and data analysis
    • Hands-on experience with SOM Reach RS2/RS3+ surveying equipment is advantageous
    • Must have a valid Code B (or higher) driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly (including overnight stays) within Mpumalanga, Limpopo and neighbouring countries
    • Fully fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written technical reports)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Conducting detailed site surveys using RTK GPS (Reach RS3/RS2+) and traditional methods to gather accurate topographic and infrastructure data.
    • Producing complete irrigation system designs (drip, micro-jet, centre pivots, solid-set) using Civil Designer (Water, Terrain & Survey modules) and/or Autodesk Civil 3D.
    • Designing pump stations, filtration systems, mainlines, submains, and associated steel structures in accordance with SABI, SANS, and manufacturer guidelines.
    • Performing hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pump selection, and energy-efficiency optimization for each project.
    • Compiling accurate schedules of quantities, material lists, and cost estimates for tender and construction purposes.
    • Carrying out regular site inspections during installation to ensure construction complies with the approved design and specifications.
    • Liaising directly with clients, farmers, contractors, and suppliers to understand requirements, present design options, and incorporate feedback.
    • Preparing professional reports, layout drawings, detailed schematics, and as-built documentation in both English and Afrikaans.
    • Collaborating closely with the tender and production departments to ensure seamless project flow from quotation to completion.
    • Continuously improving design standards, staying updated on new irrigation technologies, and contributing to the company’s technical knowledge base.
