Seeking an experienced Assistant Sommelier with a passion for wine and exceptional guest service skills. The Assistant Sommelier will be responsible for recommending wines that complement the menu and enhance the dining experience.
Requirements:
Grade 12 and certification from the Cape Wine Academy or WSET Level 1.
Ideally, 1-2 years of experience as a wine tutor.
Extensive knowledge of wines, including grape varieties, regions, harvest times, climates, soils, and winemaking processes, with the ability to communicate this to guests.
Passionate about wine and the hospitality industry.
Strong product knowledge.
Strong customer service orientation.
