Duties & Responsibilities

Effective and efficient installation of technology

• Adhering to the Maintenance/Project process flow,
• 1.2 Perform aspects of installations and fault finding services under direction of technicians,
• Support services to the senior technician in call outs, installations, configuration, cleaning of equipment, boom-gates, surroundings, environment and inspections.

 Effective maintenance of systems technology

• Regular reporting to technician for job requests and installation orders,
• Reporting back on work and issues arising,
• Basic CCTV systems – networking how to crimp cabling and trouble-shooting camera,
• Access Control – how to wire the unit and hardware with basic functioning and troubleshooting,
• Intruder Detection – basic alarm wiring and troubleshooting.

 Efficient customer service

• Maintain positive and efficient customer relations through interaction with clients on installations and maintenance work.

ISO 9001; 14001 & 45001 – Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Standards

• Adhere to the Thorburn Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System’s Policies and Procedures as applicable to this position.

Ad Hoc

• Adherence to timeous and correct reporting within set submission dates,
• Any reasonable action requested by management.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent in technical certification
• Valid Driver's Licence 1-2 years driving experience in operating a company vehicle
• PSIRA Grade C (self study permitted)
• N3 Technical certification / Post Grade 12 qualification advantageous
