Associate Editor at Impact

Job Description

• Associate Editors support the Chief Editor and contribute to the editorial management of the journal.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the peer-review process for submitted manuscripts;
• Providing timely and constructive feedback to authors and reviewers;
• Working collaboratively with the Chief Editor and Editorial Committee to uphold academic quality and integrity;
• Contributing to the strategic development and positioning of the journal;
• Promoting the Bulletin regionally and internationally.

Requirements

• A strong academic publication record;
• Experience in peer reviewing scholarly articles;
• Active engagement in library, heritage, publishing, or related scholarly fields;
• Commitment to research that advances social justice, equity, and contextually relevant knowledge production;
• Strong interest in advancing scholarship relevant to South Africa and the African continent;
• Commitment to the mission and values of the Bulletin;
• Prior editorial experience will be an added advantage
