Assurance Manager (SME Division) - Cape Town at Moore South Africa

Job Advert Summary    

• Moore Cape Town is looking for an Assurance Manager to join their Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) division on a permanent basis from 1 February 2024 or 1 March 2024. The successful candidate will have at least three years post articles (SAICA/AGA/SAIPA) experience who can confidently lead a team, values high standards, is committed to quality, and can effectively manage client relationships.

Minimum Requirements    
Experience and Skills Required:

• 3+ years of post-articles experience in leading and managing a team of trainees
• Thorough knowledge of IFRS for SME’s and IAS Accounting Standards
• Proficient in various accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Have a good understanding of the Companies and Income Tax Acts
• Working knowledge of CaseWare

Educational Qualifications

• BCom, B.Acc or Honours degree (accounting or financial accounting)
• SAICA/AGA/SAIPA training contract completed or qualified

Duties and Responsibilities    
Main Purpose of Position:

• This is a full-time management role in the SME division leading, managing and supervising the execution of Independent Review engagements for a fast-growing client base.  Day-to-day activities will include coordinating with the client and team to ensure timely completion of engagements and provide value added advice to the client.

Position Overview:

• Manage a team of SAIPA trainee accountants
• Detailed review off financial statements in terms of IFRS for SME’s
• Manage Independent Review engagements in terms of ISRE 2400 for a portfolio
• Manage Compilation engagements in terms of ISRS 4410
• Detailed review of taxation for Companies and Trusts
