The role:

To provide general assistance to ensure safe and cost-effective mining.

The duties will include but are not limited to:
- Remove and installation of Pumps at water bodies
- Move pumps on pump trolley to different areas
- Install water columns down the ramp and inpit
- Reclaim water columns during section moves
- Send out damaged pump for repairs
- Report any defects, damages and non-conformance to the control room
- Conduct mini risk assessment of working area
- Monitor water bodies
- Install demarcation at water bodies (sign boards)
You will need:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics
- In depth knowledge of the Safety rules and regulations
- Valid Code B driver’s license is essential
- Valid Medical fitness certificate
Advantageous:
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a mining environment
