Au Pair | Bassonia | R9000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Children’s Ages: 8 year old (Grade 3) – Girl
• Working hours: Every Wednesday and Thursday 13:00 – 19:00 and Every 2nd Friday 13:00 – 19:00 and Saturday 10:00 – 14:00 
• School holiday hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
• Duties: Collecting our daughter from school, transporting her to activities, assisting with homework and school projects, preparing her school essentials, liaising with teachers when needed, and planning engaging, age-appropriate developmental activities. Prepare a light snack or meals and ensuring her bags are packed for the next day. If time allows, ad hoc household errands may be required.
• Special Requirements: A recognised childcare qualification or accredited childcare training would be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, their own reliable vehicle, be fluent in English (Afrikaans would be beneficial), and be confident with basic meal preparation. Most importantly, we are seeking someone who is trustworthy, discreet, proactive, highly organised, and has a genuine understanding of the developmental and emotional needs of young children. A valid police clearance certificate will also be required.
• Start Date and contract term: ASAP – permanent
• Salary: R9000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
