Au Pair / Companion | Tokai | R16 000 - R20 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Area: Tokai
• Child’s Age: 22 year old – Boy  
• Child’s Neurodivergence Snapshot: Mild ASD – struggles socially, he doesn’t understand the rules of society. He needs to be managed and guided.
• Support Style: We would like to get him back into therapy. He is on medication to help his ASD. 
• Working hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00 (Candidate to remain available within these working hours, schedule will be discussed with prior notice but some days, a full day may not be required)
• Duties: Assist in finding him a school, accompanying him to school and courses he attends, taking him to any appointments, ensure he takes all his medication, driving him around, taking care of him and providing support where needed, taking him to any therapies, providing routine, structure, etc. Ad hoc household errands, travel with the family both locally and internationally.
• Special Requirements: Female, Fluent in English, valid driver’s license. Demonstrated experience with ASD (young adult), comfortable collaborating with therapists/teachers.
• Start Date and contract term: Mid-February – permanent
• Salary: R16 000 - R20 000pm - Depending on skills, qualifications and experience (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
