Au Pair | Kommetjie | R16 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their son
• Area: Kommetjie
• Child’s Age: 12 year old - Boy
• Child’s Neurodivergence Snapshot: AuDHD (Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), PDA. Presents frustration as anger. Need supervision so he does not seek dopamine through sweets/watching scary/more adult shows on TV, buying things. Restless, as currently does not have interests that last long. In burnout so can’t attempt academic work right now, but ideally in future to complete Grade 6 through homeschooling via au pair. Very anxious, kind and amazing child that is deeply affected by RSD. Been bullied badly in the past. Started stuttering recently.
• Working hours: Monday – Friday 08:00-13:00
• School holiday hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
• Duties: Be the best au pair ever! which means 1. being able to make adult decisions (like no sweets at the shop even if he pleads for them and says I said ok, not watching inappropriate movies/shows, not exposing him to things that are too old for him), 2. Is fun and looks after his self-worth, reduced anxiety and self-hatred, allows him to find his interests again-things that would make him happy again. He wants someone to take him out to places and then to sit and relax and watch TV with him at home.
• Note I work from home so can also help with regulation when needed. Prevent him from taking out frustration out on his sister, who is 8 and highly sensitive, also has AuDHD. She has her own facilitator/au pair.
• Special Requirements: Youngish, fun (e.g. go go-carting), very calm (takes his lead), is kind. Must know PDA and not use ABA methods
• School/Curriculum: not at moment, home schooling in future
• Start Date and contract term: ASAP – December 2026 (possibility of contract extension and renewal)
• Salary: R16 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
