Au Pair | Midstream | R17 000 - R20 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Child’s Age: Girl – Grade 2
• Child’s Neurodivergence Snapshot: High Functioning Autistic
• Support Style: She is in play therapy, extra maths and reading classes. However she is an exceptionally bright and independent child, she is sensory and very sensitive.  Especially, sounds and clothing textures.  She struggles with Autism tantrums, but she is taking meds for them, and they are mild and over quickly.  She does have ADHD but is taking Ritalin and is doing very well on it. 
• Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 16:00
• School holiday hours: Same/similar hours  
• Duties: Assist Mom with executive assistant tasks such as research, follow-ups, checking and responding to email during the mornings, take to school in the mornings, collect from school, take to extra-murals, assist with and supervise homework, run general family errands, grocery shopping for the family, engaging in intellectually stimulating play & activities with child, prepare meals for the child, drive mom around during the day for meetings, Drs appointments, shopping.
• Special Requirements: 25+, tertiary degree, experience in high functioning special needs children will be beneficial. Must be a very confident driver and will be expected to drive the mom around as well during the day as the mom has trouble with her eyesight. Mom's car will be used during the day. Must be able to type, use a computer and understand Microsoft Outlook well. 
• Start Date and contract term: ASAP – end October 2026 (possibility to become permanent)
• Salary: R17 000 – R20 000 per month (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
