Au Pair | Mooikloof Heights, Pretoria | R14 000 - R15 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their 2 children 
• Area: Mooikloof Heights, Pretoria
• Children's Ages: 4 year old, 2 year old and 6 month old (The primary focus will be on the two eldest children. The youngest child has a dedicated nanny; however, occasional assistance with the baby will be required as needed.)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday 14:00 – 19:00 and Saturday 10:00 – 19:00 (Sunday’s may be required with prior notice and additional days given off during the week)
• School Holiday Hours: Same as above / Slightly flexible
• Duties: Meet the children at home after school (collections from school may be introduced at a later stage), transport them to and from extra murals, appointments, and activities, assist with and supervise homework where required, and maintain a consistent and structured afternoon routine.
• Plan and engage the children in educational activities, reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, sports, and other age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and development while reducing unnecessary screen time wherever possible. Prepare light snacks and meals, ensure school bags, uniforms, and belongings are packed and ready for the following day, and provide attentive, patient supervision in a safe, calm, and nurturing environment.
• The Junior Au Pair will also work closely with and report directly to the Executive Governess, ensuring consistency in routines, childcare standards, and the children's overall development.
• Special Requirements: The family is looking for a patient, nurturing, reliable, and energetic candidate who genuinely enjoys engaging with children through active play and learning opportunities. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of routine, be able to gently encourage interaction and engagement away from technology, and confidently facilitate educational activities, reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and sport. They should remain calm, consistent, and supportive while promoting the children's independence, confidence, and overall wellbeing. Swimming ability would be advantageous.
• Start Date and Contract Term: ASAP – Permanent
• Salary: R14 000 - R15 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
