Audit Manager - Hilton at Accountancy Placements

• Our client, a well-established accounting and audit firm based is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and oversee the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple audit engagements from planning through to completion
• Develop audit plans, risk assessments, and engagement strategies
• Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff, ensuring effective allocation of work and professional development
• Review audit working papers, financial statements, and audit files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm methodologies and professional standards
• Ensure sufficient and appropriate audit evidence is obtained to support audit conclusions
• Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently
• Identify significant audit findings, internal control weaknesses, and business risks, providing practical recommendations to clients
• Prepare and review audit reports, management reports, and financial statements

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related field
• A professional accounting or auditing CA(SA) qualification is preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years' audit experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role
• Proven experience managing multiple audit engagements and leading audit teams
• Experience reviewing financial statements and complex audit files

Technical Skills

• Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or IFRS for SMEs
• Proficiency in Caseware is advantageous
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
