Our client, a well-established accounting and audit firm based is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and oversee the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple audit engagements from planning through to completion
Develop audit plans, risk assessments, and engagement strategies
Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff, ensuring effective allocation of work and professional development
Review audit working papers, financial statements, and audit files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm methodologies and professional standards
Ensure sufficient and appropriate audit evidence is obtained to support audit conclusions
Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently
Identify significant audit findings, internal control weaknesses, and business risks, providing practical recommendations to clients
Prepare and review audit reports, management reports, and financial statements
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related field
A professional accounting or auditing CA(SA) qualification is preferred
Minimum of five (5) years' audit experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role
Proven experience managing multiple audit engagements and leading audit teams
Experience reviewing financial statements and complex audit files
Technical Skills
Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or IFRS for SMEs
Proficiency in Caseware is advantageous
Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
