    Audit Quality Assurance Associate

    Are you an experienced professional with a passion for auditing and ensuring quality compliance? Are you a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a keen eye for detail? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as an Audit Associate - Quality Reviewer at our prestigious Auditing, Accounting, and Tax Advisory firm for a 5/8 position (five days a week), in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

    As an Audit Associate - Quality Reviewer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and adherence to South African Standards of Auditing within our audit engagements. Your responsibilities will involve conducting detailed quality reviews of audit work, providing feedback and guidance to our audit teams, and enhancing overall audit quality.

    We are seeking an exceptional candidate for this senior-level position that reports directly to the Partners. In addition to your superior technical knowledge, you must also possess outstanding qualities of integrity, exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide effective feedback and guidance to different audit teams. The role demands strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.

    Key Qualifications and Requirements:

    To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and competencies:

    • A minimum of 7 years of post-article experience in auditing.

    • A Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification (CA(SA)) is essential, being a qualified Regional Auditor would be considered an added advantage.

    • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, South African Standards of Auditing guidelines and SAICA and IRBA rules and regulations.

    • Exceptional analytical skills and an ability to critically evaluate audit work for compliance and accuracy.

    • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quality assurance.

    • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide valuable insights to enhance overall audit quality.

    • Actively explore and identify business process risks, documenting results of the evaluations.

    • Developing recommendations and reports based on audits and presenting these ideas to top management.

    • Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements.

    The following are prerequisites for this position:

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Advanced proficiency in Caseware.

    • Fluent in both Afrikaans and English.
