Reporting to the Service Lead for Meeting & Collaboration, the AV VC Specialist is seen as a seasoned technical expert in the AV VC field and knowledgeable in the broader Network & Communications space.
This is a highly technical hands-on and senior technical role, with a focus on delivering and supporting high quality AV VC services. The role requires the ability to design solutions, implement complex changes, and troubleshoot complex operational issues. As well as delivering first class support to colleagues and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
You will have experience of working in high impact environments where service matters and exceeding expectations is the norm.
Key responsibilities
- The AV VC Specialist primary areas of responsibility is ensuring that service impacting issues are resolved in a timely fashion, requests from the business are actioned according within the service management processes. While also ensuring that there are defined standards in place, the technical lifecycle of products & services is managed and deliver change/transformation against created designs; always ensuring a smooth transition/handover into Operations is completed.
Experience, skill and capability
- You will have excellent hands-on experience of AV, VC, and audio installations within a global enterprise scale.
- You will have excellent hands-on experience of AV, VC and audio installations within a global enterprise scale organization (5000-50,000 users), supporting, designing and delivering a broad-spectrum of solutions.
- You will have considerable first-hand experience of supporting, design engineering and building sustainable solutions on that scale.
- You will present suitable solutions to meet the business requirements in accordance with Investec Standards and obtain quotations and manage technology suppliers and partners.
- You will be an expert at resolving complex problems.
- You will have an attention to detail in everything you do along with a natural willingness to help your customers and colleagues.
- You will be familiar with a variety of testing tools, voice & networking technologies and techniques to accurately troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems associated with the service, application and network hardware and software.
- You will be able to deliver change to the infrastructure and network environment with minimal downtime whilst following a strict change control process.
- You will have good experience of tracking incidents / requests / change using ITSM systems and making sure tickets are kept up to date and clients are updated on a regular basis through to completion and closure.

You will have strong knowledge and experience of supporting, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting in several areas, including but not limited to:
- Logitech

- Cisco Webex Room Kits
- Cisco Webex Control Hub
- Cisco Webex
- Crestron Hardware
- Exterity IP TV
It is desirable and advantageous to have experience with several of the following:
- Azure Fundamentals
