Azure Infrastructure Consultant at DVT

• The employed individual will be challenged with access to a range of projects at clients across industries, working with other experienced technologists whose single pursuit is optimal value creation for our customers through the construction of peerless solutions, this dynamic self- starting individual will be schooled in the best practices accumulated through successful delivery on hundreds of software development assignments. You would have the opportunity to be involved with both consulting projects and internal projects.

KNOWLEDGE

• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure and related services
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and related Services
• Full understanding of the Microsoft Solutions Suite including solutions such as, but not limited to, SharePoint, Dynamics, Azure and others
• Understanding of Microsoft Licensing with relation to Active Directory and related Services, M365 and related solutions, for the purpose of being able to implement and consult in these areas
• Cloud Strategy Consulting with regards to Infrastructure planning and design
• High-level understanding of Azure DevOps principals and practices

Skills

• Knowledge of Infrastructure components such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory
• Hands on experience in Azure Site Recovery, Azure Monitor, Azure Automation, Azure Backup and Recovery
• Knowledge and experience in automation technologies like Terraform
• Strong Scripting Tools skills in PowerShell and Azure CLI
• Ability to Multitask
• System design and analysis
• Ability to conceptualise and simplify complex problems
• Ability to read and write specifications
• Good communications skills
• Leadership skills

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Degree or Technical QualificationA minimum of 5 years experience in managing and maintaining Active Directories and related Microsoft
• Complete at least two relevant certification/skills training annually
• Partake in Technology Forums within DVT
• Following and contributing to the improvement of projects and implementations with in the Microsoft Services and Solution Delivery Cluster
• Provide support to Internal projects relating to Azure and Licensing
• Deliver Consulting Services to DVTs customers, either on a short-term or long-term basis, depending on the requirements of the project
• Configure, optimise and Azure Infrastructure and related solutions
• Conduct system audits and recommendations
• Task prioritisation and effort estimation, using Agile Methodologies for self and team
• Assist and mentor other inexperienced consultants with in current projects and at DVT
• Identify and facilitate business opportunities, with specific involvement in the technical presale of potential projects
• Contribute to DVT Insights, including contributions to the internal DVT intellectual property (IP)
• Partake in technical presentations/knowledge sharing, both internally and publicly
• Attend and partake in a minimum of 90% of relevant official DVT events (Staff Events, Department events etc.)
