Backend Java Engineer at Standard Bank Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

To manage and oversee the Bank’s operational and tactical development initiatives which include the execution and, implementation of application delivery programmes and projects against the Bank’s standards, policies and procedures and governance guidelines and Service Level Agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

1. BSc Comp Science, B.Com Informatics degree or advanced IT related degree 
2. Cloud Certification 

Minimum Experience

• 5-7 Years broad experience in translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications and developing the programming code to create the solutions. 

Technology required: 

• API design best practices
• SOLID Principles
• Java SE 1.8
• Spring or Springboot
• Java EE framework
• Basic scripting language understandng
• Maven or Gradle
• RESTful API
• SOAP

• API Security
• Unit testing
• Atlassian tools( JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo etc.)
• Technical Analysis documentation (Sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, network diagrams)
