The Job
You will form an integral part of our Agile tech team who are responsible for creating and maintaining the software that allows our platform to function. You’ll also be responsible for:
The maintenance and development of new features on our software platform.
Applying software engineering principles to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of our software.
Ensuring that the software you develop is secure and safe when it comes to data protection.
Working closely with team members, on development and other projects.
About you
You have in-depth development experience using Java and building software from the ground up. You’re a logical thinker and a natural problem solver who wants to use your technical skillset to make an impact.
Requirements:
You hold a minimum of 2 - 6 years of experience in a software development role.
You have worked extensively with several backend tools and frameworks, including Java.
You don’t want to just write code, you want to make it with quality and scalable.
Experience within Microservices, AWS, and fraud will be an advantage.
You are willing to learn. We use SpringBoot, JUnit, Testcontainers, Flyway, among others (You don't need to have experience with the tools we are currently using, we can help you).
You have excellent English skills.

The Rewards
At Triggerise we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. The monthly salary bracket for this position is R50 000 - R75 000 in South Africa, KSH 230 000 - KSH 350 000 in Kenya and €2 200 - €3 429 in Portugal, plus benefits and allowances. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
