    Marketing and Communications Officer

    The Job

    As the Marketing and Communication officer at Triggerise, you’ll support the marketing team in the execution of the marketing strategy across key geographies. You'll also work closely with the operations and insights team to ensure that our message is delivered in a relevant, meaningful and effective way. You’ll do this, by: 

     

    • Maintaining the marketing content database and ensuring brand consistency across the countries in which we operate.

    • Briefing the development of new content and editing predeveloped brand materials. 

    • Using social media insights to ensure that our use of social media is aligned with our brand and target audience.

    • Managing the relationship with design and digital communications agencies.

    • Keeping abreast of the latest marketing trends and movements in the market, and finding ways to boost the company’s visibility. 

     

    About You

    You think outside of the box and collaborate well with others. You are a tech savvy marketing professional who is proficient in mobile, messaging, and the use of applications. You have in-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics and enjoy developing and upskilling yourself. 

     

    Requirements

    • Fluent in French

    • A relevant university degree or the equivalent in work experience.

    • At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar position.

    • Strong communication and analytical analytical skills 

    • Knowledge of relevant design tools and communications channels.

    Account Manager

    The Job

    You oversee the implementation of our operations in South Africa. Part of our operational work is done by our own team and part is done by external partners. You work with both to make sure we create the impact we need. Your main responsibilities will be:
     

    • You kick-start and monitor progress on operations and ensure that our teams have the right structures, knowledge and tools to be successful. 

    • You liaise with local ministries, authorities and donors to ensure smooth execution, compliance and success.

    • You collaborate with our academy and grants teams to solve problems and to improve our operations.

    • You analyze on the ground implementation for patterns and trends and feed your findings back into the organisation so we can learn and grow.

     

    About You

    You are an experienced lead. You know what it takes to set up and execute a successful programme because you have done it before. You can enable and influence your partners and stakeholders. You have the right network to help you be successful. You are effective but diplomatic.     Requirements

    • You're based in South Africa. 

    • A Masters degree in a relevant field

    • At least 5-8 years experience in a similar position, working with different partners

    • Experience with SRH projects and preferably also Education & Employability.

    Backend Java Engineer

    The Job

    You will form an integral part of our Agile tech team who are responsible for creating and maintaining the software that allows our platform to function. You’ll also be responsible for:

    • The maintenance and development of new features on our software platform.

    • Applying software engineering principles to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of our software.

    • Ensuring that the software you develop is secure and safe when it comes to data protection.

    • Working closely with team members, on development and other projects.

     

    About you

    You have in-depth development experience using Java and building software from the ground up. You’re a logical thinker and a natural problem solver who wants to use your technical skillset to make an impact.

     

    Requirements:  

    • You hold a minimum of 2 - 6 years of experience in a software development role.

    • You have worked extensively with several backend tools and frameworks, including Java.

    • You don’t want to just write code, you want to make it with quality and scalable.

    • Experience within Microservices, AWS, and fraud will be an advantage. 

    • You are willing to learn. We use SpringBoot, JUnit, Testcontainers, Flyway, among others (You don't need to have experience with the tools we are currently using, we can help you).  

    • You have excellent English skills.

    DevOps Engineer (AWS)

    The Job

    You will build, configure, and monitor the infrastructure needed by the software to run, as well as building and testing the tools needed for the development and release of the software.  

    • You will be responsible for optimizing the flow of work from build to release. 

    • You automate the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of the infrastructure in order for Triggerise software to run.

    • For security and data protection purposes, you will make sure the infrastructure you develop is safe & secure in terms of personal data.

    • You’ll collaborate with others, and be a part of our agile practices and rituals.

    About You

    You already have experience in a similar position and are excited by the opportunity to utilize your skillset and build a product from the ground up.

    • You have previous experience working with Cloud tools (preference for using AWS, including RDS, EC2, SQS).

    • You have previous experience with Kubernetes container orchestration (preference for using K8s within AWS ecosystem).

    • You are willing to learn. We use several tools like Jenkins, Terraform, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Github Actions (you don't need to have experience with the tools we are currently using, we can help you).

    • Experience managing a team of frontend engineers.

    • You have worked extensively with several frontend tools, including Javascript, HTML and CSS.

    • Experience with Angular or React is a plus.
