• Reception and delivery of employees/ equipment/material to the underground operation.
• Maintains “Zero tolerance “level throughout shift.
• Completes pre-start and daily maintenance checks on equipment and safety devices before commencing work.
• Reporting and replaces sub-standard components.
• Maintains equipment and accessories to required standards.
• Ensure compliance to shaft operating procedures and equipment.
• Adhere to and follow specific code of practices & engineering standards.
• Received and checks material cars from yard and explosives trucks.
• Adhered to shaft schedule and control movement of cars out and down the shaft.
• Removes and delivers cars from shaft to yard.
• Ensures adherence to procedures for sensitive materials i.e explosive.
• Movement of employees
• Adhered to shaft schedule.
• Ensures adherence to procedures for movement of employee.
• Control administration of Shift
• Receives and adhered shaft schedules, monitors and record the movement of employees/material/equipment to/from levels.
• Complete and forwards necessary documentation
• Prepare/ Monitor schedules and provide required support to shaft examination.                              
• This role is in the Engineering at a C1 level reporting to the Shaft Foreman

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Onsetter Certificate.

Experience & knowledge required:

• At least two years experience as an Onsetter in an Operational shaft
